Our mission is to improve the lives of children and families by turning research into practical knowledge, skills, and action.
We work at the intersection of science, communication, and practice to help create the conditions in which children can thrive. Through the Oxford Brain Story, we equip parents, communities, and professionals with an accessible understanding of how early experiences shape lifelong physical and mental health, empowering them to support healthy development from the earliest years.
We also advance understanding and practice in family communication when a parent or other significant adult is living with a physical or mental illness. By supporting professionals with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to facilitate honest, age-appropriate conversations, we help children and families navigate some of life's most challenging circumstances.
By bridging evidence, education, and practice, we strengthen the capacity of families, professionals, and communities to support children's wellbeing, resilience, and development, creating lasting positive change across the life course.
