OKRE works to change the systems that shape how entertainment is made, understood and experienced.
We bring together creatives, researchers, people with lived experience, industry leaders and experts who don’t always get to work alongside one another – creating the relationships, conversations and collaborations that can shape ideas from the very start.
We believe entertainment has enormous influence over how we see ourselves, each other and the world around us. Bringing different perspectives and expertise into the creative process can lead to richer, more authentic and engaging stories.
But lasting change comes from changing the conditions around those stories: who gets to be in the room, how ideas are developed, when research and expertise come in, and how different parts of the industry work together. That’s systems change in practice – shifting the relationships, structures and ways of working that shape what gets made and whose voices are heard.
Alongside this, OKRE researches the impact of entertainment and supports the sector to understand and measure it, developing practical tools and frameworks that turn insight into action. By bringing people, ideas and evidence together, we help change the way the industry works – unlocking more of what entertainment can do.
